Better late than never!

Hello!

I am back from beyond. The Forum is trucking along. We finally got the projectors running and films seem to be the missing link here in Metuchen. I have seen people walk through these doors for the first time ever - because of the new film programming. So exciting!

We survived Rocktober. Can't wait to see what happens next year. and of course, the kids shows are just kicking butt!

All is well at the Forum! And to think that not even a year ago this place was dark...

Time to catch our breath!

It's hard to believe that our summer season has come to a close. It seems like just yesterday we were having our first meeting announcing our intentions to reopen the theatre. I think this summer was a success! I want to say a very special thank you to our core volunteers that helped us set the wheels in motion and of course to our patrons new and old!

The Forum will be closed for the next 2 weeks while we gear up for our Creative Arts Classes registration and of course our very busy Fall season. So Thank you to you all and see you on August 17! Ciao! Karin

Finally! Class Information!

Hello friends,

I am so excited to announce that we are ready to start registering students for our fall performing arts classes. So many of you have been patiently waiting - and in my completely objective opinion - it was well worth it. We are offering everything from acting & scene study to screen writing to stand-up comedy! We are also offering private instruction in voice, guitar and piano and acting.

In the spring, we will also be adding some technical theatre classes, for those of you who like to work behind the scenes.

In other exciting news -our two new rehearsal studios / birthday party rooms are looking fantastic and will be ready for operation by our first day of classes - September 21st.

Don't forget the Def Leppard/Van Halen tribute - this Thursday, July 23rd at 8pm! Tickets only $20!

Hello there!

Hi & welcome! My name is Karin Leone and I am the Managing Director of the Forum Theatre Arts Center. The theatre has been in operation since 1928 - as a movie house, vaudeville house and live theatre. It has undergone many changes over the decades and once again we are undergoing a tremendous transformation. After being closed for nearly two years, we have re-opened and are bigger and better than ever. We will present the live musical and children's theatre productions that audiences have come to know us for - AND we will be showing films: arts films, indies, classics, children's films and more. If you have any requests we would love to hear them!
Most exciting is our addition of a performing arts school. Staring in September, the Forum will be offering a full curriculum of performing arts related studies; including, but limited to acting, dance, screen writing, stand-up comedy, film making, theatre games and more. Our programs are for ages 3 & up. Students will always learn in a safe and positive environment with seasoned professional instructors. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! Until next time....Karin
